Found him wondering on my front porch tonight. Invited him into my house in a petri dish.
ISO 200, 1/200-sec at f/18, ringflash at +2/3.

That's the petro dish that's pretty dirty. It's one I had in my wood shop and its covered with fine sawdust. And thanks! Lol

Nice shots! Those fangs look a little dull. An older spider?

I thought more like Moe Howard of the 3 Stooges. Or on further review, Tinusbum may have stopped by and this is how I treated him. Sigh.

I felt sorry for him and may not have saved him but I tried.
My Wife had sprayed the front porch with insecticide earlier in the evening to thwart the roach population that starts trying to book a room this time of year.
He is pretty large but I had no issues setting the clear cover over him and sliding a stiff card under to move him.
He never was overly agitated about the ordeal and when finished I let him go in the back yard wood pile.

Yes WOW is the work for this. Those fangs are so intimidating. Looks like you could mount them on your wall.

Thanks Craig. He was good sized and pretty agile.
The petri dish that I used is 6" across.
It wasn't designed to be photographed through but it worked well to keep him contained and not running up my Wifes leg.
