I did sell it and don't regret it but the Tamron 150-600mm was impressive as hell.

Just that it broke my arm muscles trying to use it for a couple hours on the beach or in the swamps

He did hit the weights at the gym. Unfortunately it was with his car...
Had to sell the bazooka to help pay for the damage. :)

Yup, going to have to start walking, exercising. About 35 pounds overweight at almost 73 isn't good. I'll start soon.

I'm 63 and just got the Optech binocular/camera harness. I can walk around all day with a D7200 and Sigma 18-300. I'm building up my back for the 150-500 that usually sits in the back of my truck. It also is a bazooka...

Why do I feel you were in the "wrong" branch of service? There were no non-coms in the WACs.

Around 1944 they did come out with "T" (Technician) grades that had similar insignia,as Sarge probably remembers.

I have an old 70-210mm lens from the 70's that's close to that long. Remember when lenses had to be big to get a decent focal length?

Yes, that is why we have excersize equipment, bodypods and monopods ! also, try Osteo- Bi-Flex "EDGE" - for joint and muscle - it has helped me.

For the ultimate in light weight and size - currently - I can recommend the Sony A3000 or 6000 with the Nikkor 300mm f4.5 ED IF manual focus lens. Yes, it is manual focus but well accomplished with the focus peaking. The Sony 1.1-2X clear Image Zoom makes it 300-600mm f4.5. The Nikkor is a dream to use.
