SQUIRL033 Loc: Chehalis, WA

spotted this yellow-rumped warbler at my favorite park on Sunday - he was fairly high up in the branches about 50 feet away and wouldn't come closer, but i was still able to get some reasonable shots... 550mm, 1/320 @ f/7.1

Stunning Butterbutt captures Rocky...our Butterbutts aren't as vibrant as yours...loved your photos of them!!!

thanks, Jan! these are a slightly different subspecies than yours... this is what's called the "Audubon" variety; i think you get more of the "Myrtle" form back east... the Myrtle has a white throat instead of yellow, which makes it appear a bit less striking.
