I had just finished hand feeding the youngster, on the right side of this log, when another came in from the left. The younger one took great exception to him being there and showed his teeth in all their glory. Things happened very quickly and he managed to chase the intruder off the log. I managed three pictures of the incident.

Great shots. I have seen a raccoon come very close to killing a dog when I was younger. The dog had a good part of its face torn off by just one angry raccoon. The tough old dog and to be literally pulled away from the raccoon or it would have continued the fight.

Here's another down side of these "cute" animals. Thousands of $$$$ of damage to our neighbourhood lawns.
Pictures taken with my phone . . . sorry

From what I can tell, the lawn has no roots. Very week looking. From the raccoon damage to the lawn, it looks as though they were after grubs. That is why there are no roots. If your neighbor gets rid of the grubs (insecticide)the coons will not do this. They were just trying to eat an easy meal..
I have seen wild pigs do the same thing but 100 times worse.. it looked like someone ran a rototiller though the area.. good luck
