A big thank you to Edgorm for hosting 'One Light Wonder' and to Clicker for getting us up and running for 'Free Easter days & Free Sunday'. The next challenge is 'Reflections of the Past'. This is open to your interpretation. My thoughts as I chose this subject was reflecting on times of the past....or subjects or items from the past. Either material as a part of your own sentiments or thoughts of what was. I did do a quick search on 'Photography on Reflections of the Past' and found the following which I found quite interesting.

Last June my Sis and I stopped at the farm site where I spent the first 8 years of my life. A look from the driveway....remains of the house, the well house, and my Dad's shop in behind. The shed to the far back left came after we left. The barn had also been torn down.

The lone hand pump used to feed the young calfs is all that is left at the location we knew as 'the little pasture'.

My Dad was a mechanic and machinist. He loved building tractors in is later years and they were always named 'Pearl' (after my Mother). I have the tractor that my Son rode so many times in his young life prior to my Dad's passing. This is a shot of my Son with his Son....our grandson who was 3 when this photo was shot.
I love nature.....but also love roaming the country roads in search for barns. Although I only lived on a farm for the first 8 years of my life; old homesites and old barns fasinate me.

The barn is gone....

Very nice way to start Irene.. I love old barns, old cars, old buildings... there is just so much character in older things.. maybe because I'm old....

Always good to view old cars Clicker
Remember looking up at this when I was a child, never imagined my work would hang on the walls of the 'Clocktower Cafe' all these years later
This is a fascinating subject. I recall taking this photo many years ago from my Mother's backyard with my Kodak Retina ( 35 mm camera). I used to live in a railroad town in the steam engine era, and these two huge waterpumps in the photo were used to refill the water tanks in the steam engines when they pulled into our village. We were along the Montreal to Halifax run and also the Boston to Halifax route, we were a busy railway junction and these water pumps were used often. There were also another pair of water pimps on the other end of the village. Great memories . I recall seeing these pumps being swung over the engines for their refilling. The pumps are now gone of course.
