I won't be able to see it due to a snowy forecast but I think I have captured it unintentionally. Can't recall what object I was shooting, I'll have to go through and check my raws to see if I can find the single image.

That's to bad for tonight but if you follow the link it can give you an alert
every time it will be visible to you in your area.

I have it saved in Starry Night but mostly I have used it and other satellites to limit my exposures so as to avoid flares or artifacts. Never thought to try and image something moving that quickly.

I just use a tripod with my 600mm Lens on Vibration Control but tonight I'm putting a 2x TC in the mix and see what happens.
I've only got about 1 minute when it's overhead for the best shots. It is really bright so I can have the shutter speed set pretty fast.

Good luck Craig,Nothing here but grey.

It's cloudy here as well. I didn't see the message but it wouldn't have mattered.

If anybody is interested...
I found what appears to be a cool App for my Smarter-Than-Me-Phone that looks like it could help. Android type.
Thought I'd share it.
http://www.issdetector.com/It uses your smart phones GPS and location to tell when and where to watch for the appearance.
Once I can figure it out I'll see if I can catch it with my current "telescope", Tamron 150-600mm lens.
It looks promising though. Tonight is (My location)
Start Direction: NW (307 degrees)
Start Elevation: NW 10 degrees - End Direction: N 358 degrees
Start Time: 20:54:55 Duration: 2m47s End Time: 20:57:42
Start Elevation: 10 - Max. Elev:12 - End Elevation:10
Start Direction: 310 - Magnitude: 1.0 - End Direction: 358

Me too, Craig. Low in the NW.
But your lead got me to thinking and now I want to go set up and play with my gear.
Just to see if my location would even allow for the projected angles. :?
If not to be, hopefully there will be other nights. ;)
Yes, the Big Tammy has begun proving it's worth for the skies. I shot the Eclipse on the 4th. Until 05:15, when the neighbors front tree obscured it. :hunf:
I have used this link for years. Some of you may find that you like it. This one tells you the mag (brightness) that you can expect each time... It also tracks alot of other visible satellites.
