The first image is from Mono Lake again. I stopped in at Black Point because I really enjoyed my last visit and the scenery is stunning to work with.
Alabama Hills was quite windy during the afternoon and made capturing this insect on the flower a challenge. It did prevent him from wanting to leave the flower though. I had taken a short walk with camera and home-made flash diffuser so I could get the DOF in these photos and also try to secure some sharpness since it was so windy and things were moving so.
I utilized the 105mm micro @ approx. 14 inches for the snake shots.
