Thank you Pat for looking in and yes it looks like it's only a couple miles up. That thing is big.
I was amazed I could get such a good outline of it with just a camera lens.

I usually shoot it as a star trail.
Never been lucky enough to catch a single frame.

So I used my tripod in gimble node and got it.
Best shot was almost straight up.

PS: I just got in from shooting Eclipse and Saturn.
That's incredible especially considering just using the 600mm lens!
