He was a "Feel Good, Believe in yourself" preacher.

And that he was. He came across as a most sincere, honest, and dedicated man to me.

This man is one of the worst apostates around, as far as the gospel of Christ is concerned. If you want to feel good about going to Hell, he is for you.

Hummmm that's interesting, I always thought that the Father gave the right to judge to the Son. Who'd have thought you qualified as well. Its truly amazing what I learn here on the Hog.

Quick to judge, you are. Should a-God exist, I shall let him/her/it be my judge. Now, where is hell and what's it like in your opinion? Go ahead and throw in a def. of God, too, if you like? I have heard that hell is separation from God, and heaven the place one goes if not separated?

I have not seen him in person, only on TV. Was he as good in person, in your opinion.

Having not met him in person either... Like I said above,,, I early on learned to not pay a lot of attention to him...
Like a few other Evangelists, my take on his message was always very simple..
PIE IN THE SKY BY AND BY...... Not much of substance in his messages...
My personal opinion of course...

Well, I give him one thing, he had a following, but aren't you just saying that you were not part of his following?
Personally, I find "all evangelism/supernatural belief "pie in the sky," but some evangelicals have interesting styles and are fun to watch in action, that is, if nothing else is on TV. I cannot stand to watch more than a few minutes.
They are all performers/exhibitionists. One of my favorites is Texas Pastor, John C. Hagee. Now he is a number. I do not doubt their faith, as I have no way of judging another one's beliefs.

Hey! you could always call or email this TV evangelists and tell them to stop shoving their religion down your throat ya know? After all, you are paying for your cable/satellite subscription and you didn't choose to "click" on that station and watch them ;).
P.S. All kidding around, I pray God reaches you with His Gospel through these programs in TV. :)
I always enjoyed the flamboyant style of Dr. Gene Scott and his foxy wife Pastor Melissa Scott. Their 'Chalk Talks' were quite something.

He certainly was a bit eccentric and because he was different than what the Christian community is used to he never received the recognition he deserved. I don't really think he gave a hoot about the recognition anyway but still the man certainly knew his stuff. I don't really know much about Melissa other than she is a looker and can't sing a lick.
