A few weeks ago I was asking about a particular Nikon lens and mentioned that my kit lens made a photo that was taken by Del Monte for a special holiday packaging on a dog treat. This is the photo that was chosen out of 1000s. I think I was just lucky but I will take the money!

Wow, what a photo! The tongue-in-cheek labels on the boxes, the tool belt on the delivery dog ... and the dog himself ... patient with that 'go ahead, dad ... finish this up so I can get that treat you promised me' look ... priceless.

Jonah, my retriever loves dressing up and hamming it up for the camera. We started out showing in obedience but I found his real talent was looking at the camera. He had great success when we showed in obedience but when the obedience show photographers took his picture with his winning ribbons we found we could "place" him in just about any position with props and he actually started smiling and really getting into it. One show photographer actually took about 80 pics of him in different positions.
We go to a very small gulf island every year with our goldens and this year Jonah's winning prize will pay for the entire 2 1/2 week trip with $$$s left over. The dogs are off leash the entire vacation and head down to the beach every morning.
