Looks like a big brown bird to me, that you took some very nice pictures of.
People that are bird nuts call it a Botaurus lentiginosus.
I agree its a Bittern. They are here in the UK.
Due to their striped neck and breast they are almost impossible to see if they are stood in reeds with their neck stretched with their beak pointing upwards.
