Crow in Flaps Down, BIF

I should have shot this BIF at f/8, would have turned out crisper.
It's still an interesting shot I think.
Any thoughts are welcome???
Nikon D800E w/Tamron 150-600mm Lens
@ 550mm, 100 yards

I agree it's an interesting shot, it almost looks as though you cloned out a power line he was sitting on.

I wish I knew how to take out power lines.

Don't beat yourself up concerning fine-tuning the f/stop. I think the distance to your subject, moving at that, was the challenge, even for the nice camera you have. I think the sharpness issues are more related to motion blur or focus. How does the Tamron work at 550 for your still shots?

Hi Tom, here is a shot taken at ideal settings.
1st shot at f/8 second shot at f/16
I think you're right about handheld BIF and moving fast.
