This morning while I was having breakfast, two moose came by to nibble on my trees. This is a cow-yearling pair in my area. There is another cow in the area with two yearlings. Either that, or there was another yearling that I didn't see.
Mom investigates my ax and shovel
Baby eats a tree - I braved going outside for this one
Baby eyeing me through my window - It ran away before I could get the window open for a clearer shot
Nice! Having them right outside your window is so great.
Very nice shots. Just beautiful having wildlife so close without having to go far.

Very cool. Looks like those are easier to lock focus on than the little birds in my back yard. :-D

That was so nice of the moose to come up close and pose for you. LOL Like the last picture the best. Thanks and enjoy your wildlife.
Our neighbors did a job on all the neighborhood trees this year. Usually the snow forces them down beyond here this time of year but over a hundred trampled through and ate everything in sight for a couple of weeks. Our next door neighbor scared them off one night with some large scale fireworks.
This is actually taken in full dark with ISO 3200 and the camera sitting on my deck railing. I had no idea on the size of the crowd till I looked at the image on the LCD!

Nice for being dark. Looks like a crowd. I think I would call a few of them dinner if they did that to my yard :-D

We try to get one to come to dinner each year. Doesn't always work out, though.

I haven't sent out invitations. I'm thinking next fall, maybe.
We have never had so many moose this year ...over 400 killed in the Mat Valley...I think they may cancel moose season in fact...been a hard winter on the moosies!
Not up here. Fairbanks is running about average for snow, I think. We're well above average for March, but we had almost none in January and February.
wow, amazing, id love to see a sight like this, the only moose (mouse) we have are of the small rodent kind, lol, yous have great wild life where yous are.
