For an "all-a-round" lens on my Canon T3i would I be happier with the Sigma 18-250 or the Tamron 18-270? Does one have better image quality than the other? Right now I basically use my Canon 28-135 for general use and my Canon 70-200mm f2.8L for sports.
For my "walk about lens", I use the tamron 16-300. I also own the tamron 18-270 and it served me well. I passed it down to my daughter when I got the new one.
We have both lens for our Nikons. Wife uses the Tamron on her D50 and I use the Sig on my D7000. For what we do with the pictures, the lens quality is about equal and both are considered walk around lens. Like the both very much.
read the reviews, I got the sigma 18 to 300mm and couldn't be happier, it is a great lens
Dpreview reviewed both lenses and gave a slight advantage to the Sigma. Last I looked the Sigma is also less expensive.
