Your photos taken with the 7D MkII are very nice, but don't appear as sharp as when you were shooting with the 6D. I have a 7D mkI and have contemplated buying the Tamron, but am concerned about focusing problems with this combo. What are your thoughts about the differences the Tamron gives on a full frame camera as opposed to a cropped sensor camera like the 7D?
Thank you, dvan7117. There are no focusing problems with my Canon 7D Mk2 and my Tamron 150-600mm lens. It is fast and accurate, as it was with my Canon 6D and the Tamron lens. So, there is no difference in focusing speed and quality that I can see between the two cameras and the Tamron. 90% of my shots are of birds including BIF photos. The larger and sharper bird images taken with my Canon 7D Mk2 w/ my Tamron is just what I needed. The Canon 6D does a great job of taking all kinds of photos except for BIF and action photos. It is tricky to get these good shots with the 6D. The extra reach with the 7D Mk2 is what I wanted to achieve for those bird photos that are a little distant.
