I have noticed that the viewfinder on my Sony has started to flicker. Doesn't do it all the time, and usually stops after using it for a few shots. Any thoughts???

I have pulled the battery and the card. Think I will call Sony as it is still under warranty. Will report what I find.

This doesn't sound like a DIY repair. I hope it's under warranty. Rick Riggins (on UHH) is an alternative to Sony.

Talked to Sony and found that this is common when the camera is in constant focus mode at small apertures when there is no movement. The rep said the camera is just looking for movement to focus on. When I take it out of Constant Focus mode everything is normal.

I took a bunch of frames and can't see that it is an issue as far as image quality or focus goes. I still have 6 or 7 months of warranty left so there is time if something really goes wrong.

Thanks for the responses and help.

received my a6000 today from Amazon and sent it back. I own a nex 7 and wanted a second body.
Shot a few test shots on the 6000 and they were all cloudy. look like I was shooting in fog or in smoke.

I had a NEX-7, but I sold it after a couple of months. I thought it would make a good substitute for my DSLR, but it just wasn't for me. It didn't have any defects, but I didn't like the small controls and the EVF. It's nice being able to buy online knowing that returns are easy.
