Thanks, Billsop! Here's another one:

Just hit me...being from the scenic state of Illinois, known more for its' political landscape than its' natural one, I never really thought of New Jersey as a place where there are preserves...wildlife refuge areas and the like. Your images clear that up. I guess I need to get out more!

Although I live in PA now, I lived in New Jersey for 20 years. The standing joke was when I told people I lived in Jersey was:"What exit?" Most people's experience with Jersey was with the NJ Turnpike and the refineries as they passed through but Jersey has significant areas that are agricultural as well as preserved wildlands from the wetlands and pine barrens of south Jersey to the Stokes State Forest of North Jersey there is a lot of wilderness in between all that development.
Some excellent shots there!

All are quite well done...especially the Hummingbird.
Bob
Loved them all but especially like the way you treated the tendril on the vine on number one.
All of them are very, very GOOD!!!
Oh, I agree. I've been to the Forsythe Wildlife Refuge quite a few times, living north of it, and have gotten fabulous shots. It's one of the best places to go for waterfowl pics in Jersey.
