Loc: No Where and Every Where
Pat is at rehearsal and asked if I would start it for her.
Pat's Opening and images:
This challenge is about photographing the essence of something you can feel, but cannot see. Wind can be a gentle breeze or an exceedingly powerful, destructive force. Coming out of nowhere on it's way to somewhere, its results can be seen and felt; something intangible becomes tangible making it possible to "capture" the wind in an image. March is the month of wind; let's "capture" it.
Been blowing for a week now, all these''blankets'' you see were wind pushed
I am looking forward to the various interpretations I'm sure you'll come up with. Lots of "wind" at rehearsal tonight which I couldn't capture. All got to go home early because it was felt we/some hadn't practiced enough and the "wind" was coming out his ears. See you tomorrow, folks.

Yup I have some of these too, Thought we might just blow off the map.
Went to Portland Headlight today to capture wind. Wanted to find someone leaning into the wind as they walked, but no one was there - too cold. I have never seen so many white caps on the Bay.
Wind formed "white caps"
Patterns on the water from wind blowing over the it
The spray blown by the wind was so fine I didn't feel it, and didn't realize till download that it made an interesting effect on my lens (had to wipe down the camera)

Your photo's really show what the windy weather has done.

Great, challenge Pat! Thanks for hosting and thanks Bushido for getting it started for Pat! What a team! :-)
The wind/air keeps him in flight
And this Ospreay....and the 25mph "breeze" made it difficult to hold my camera and lens still! LOL!
