Need to replace my Canon Pixma MP970

I just got my new iMac today and discovered that Canon isn't providing Apple with a Yosemite OS compatible printer driver for the MP970 multi-function printer. I've had the printer for over 5 years and have been very happy with it - very good prints and surprisingly low ink usage. But now I have to find a replacement that will work with Yosemite. I prefer to stay with the Canon line and am looking for recommendations of which model any of you use and like. Thanks.

Hi, I bought the Canon Pro 10 a few months ago. Got a $350 rebate in Amex cards. Look for Canon deals on the Pro 10 and Pro 100. Both will print 13x19 prints. These printers are big and bulky but do a great job.The Pro 10 uses pigment ink.

Thanks for the info - I like what I read about both printers. Trouble is my 970 is a multi-function (scan/copy/print) system and I need that functionality. I was happy with the 970's photo printing capability - maybe the 7 ink cartridge color combinations were responsible - and don't "need" better, but don't want less. It seems that the current multi-function printers offer less color rendition, and the "pro" printers don't offer scan/copy/print. I'd be happy to get better photo printing, but don't want to run two printers - I have a very small home office.
Hoping someone could resolve my dilemma.

For shame Canon. But I think you can get the 990 Yosemite drivers. And you can get used, working ones on eBay for a reasonable price.

Actually, I figured out a workaround yesterday and have my 970 working again. Instead of downloading the driver for another model, I downloaded the 970 driver for an older version of my OS and lo and behold, I'm in business again.
That being said, since I started looking for a replacement printer I'm still wondering what's available that would give me the same multi functionality but up the ante on photo print quality. What the heck, new computer, new camera/lenses, why not a new printer - technology marches on, no?
Any suggestions in the Canon Pixma MG series or other Canon series?
