I really enjoy b/w photogrpahy but it's ussually struggle to get it the way I would like it to look. Any tips and advise are always welcome. These are different sets of presets.

I also love black and white photography. Since I'm not technically proficient, I can only give you my opinions of the photos but, unfortunately, not how to fix them, should you wish to.

These photos are very nice. The biggest problem for me is that the young woman looks so tentative, not brimming with happiness and fun. As I can't tell if this is her personality or the photographer's not eliciting a more excited look from the subject, that is all I'll say about this issue.

Photo #1 has a more interesting background than the intricate work of her dress, which I think is more important. Perhaps a download would discount this observation, and perhaps better pp would ameliorate the issue.

Photo #2's setup is a nice idea. Even tho' you don't see the young man's full face, you angled the camera so that we see he really likes her. The tree growing out of his head and the rail growing out from his pants have to be fixed. There's something wrong with the lighting on her face, also fixable in pp. And, I wonder if you need all those steps. I always ask myself what is the subject of the photo, and here, perhaps, we don't need the railing and the steps. Up to you.

In photo #3, the architecture is more interesting than the young lady. Again, probably fixable in pp.

I think these photos have potential. I hope you don't mind my commenting on them. More experienced photographers surely will help you make these photos pop more. Good luck!

The first photo needs some contrast to separate it from the
background. Its close to the young lady's dress color. You have to watch out for things in your backgrounds, Like the other commenter mentioned about the tree protruding from the mans head. Talk to the person you are taking the picture of put them at ease find conversation that that you can get a smile out of I did weddings for 30 yrs Say to the girl "Tell your Dad You love Him" Right before I take the shot of her and her Dad or Mom
I have to go now so I will post again soon
