My Wife and I bought this small tree to transplant later this spring, and it is blooming after being home just a couple days.
Canon 6D with Canon 50mm FD 1.8 lens with 68mm of ext. tubes, Canon 430exII speedlight with soft box and reflector under the lens.

Considering what lens set up you are using, these are really nice  This is also a great candidate for stacking ;)

Thank you, Bill, I agree on the stacking, just haven't gotten there yet.

I am glad you explained the situation - I was going to be very envious that you were having springtime already! Nice photos!

Thanks, Spring is starting to tease us here, but not quite here yet.

I like the set. Especially the first one, and yes, it's saying "stack me" :-)

Apertures (f/stops) are not measured as high or low, but rather small or large. Yes, a smaller aperture will provide a miniscule increase in DoF, but at the sacrifice of overall resolution. The sharpest aperture of any lens is usually two stops closed-down from wide open. For many lenses, this is about f/5.6. Most of us shoot at f/8, f/11, or f/16, to increase DoF slightly without too much compromise of resolution.

Got it. Not to highjack a thread but I see no reason not to shoot at f/22(heck even f/29) with my set-up. I'll say no more here.
