I'm in Lakeland, Fl. to attend the game between the Tigers and Phillies. Tomorrow I'll be in Bradenton, Fl. to attend the game between the Pirates and Twins. I'll be using my Nikon Df and Nikon 70-200mm f/4G lens. I'll be posting the photos.

Thanks for bringing back memories. You didn't ask for suggestions but i'll offer one anyway, may be of interest to someone. As a spring training photo nut who was there for a week or two for 10 years when my son was playing - graze the entire facility, not just the big league game. The minor league fields and players are much more accessible. You'll find rising stars and big league guys on rehab assignments, organizational guys and with no barriers between you and them, lot of fun close up and unimpeded.

I lived in Riverside CA for a few years. While we would take the kids to an occasional big league game we normally went to the local minor league game.

At the minor league game the whole family could go for less than one seat to see the Dodgers.

It was a lot closer.

Traffic, what traffic.

If the kids got restless and you left who cares.

The biggie was these guys knew they were never going to make the majors unless something happened. They were there playing the game because they loved it and it showed. They sure didn't do it for what they got paid.

They didn't look too good in the game I saw and they had most of the starting line up in.

I agree. When I lived in Philly I made many trips each year to Reading to see the Reading Phils. Much more family friendly and fan friendly than at a big league park.
