I captured a beautiful dove posing for me on the feeding station. I was impressed with its full winter plumage that is so amazingly colorful. I'm posting 3 images, the original not cropping to show its colors as the camera saw them and then two artistic sketch approaches. The first sketch approach is a limited approach with decorative cropping, framing and preserving of the full natural color of the dove and the final one is a watercolor sketch with interpretive coloring and washes. Please try the downloads.

I'm quite impressed with the two pp images. They look very "artistic". But for some reason (lighting?, computer look?) the dove looks more like a plastic decoy than a living bird. I don't mean that as a criticism, just an observation. :?: :?:

That's an interesting observation Thom, I'm not sure why it would show up like that. The dove is definitely real although more colorful than those that have been stopping by. Having said all that I definitely appreciate you taking the time to visit and comment. Thanks much!

So glad you like them Greg; I really couldn't believe the dramatic coloring of that little guy. Lately I've noticed the Grackles are also showing much more color. Thanks Greg for your visit and nice comments. Always appreciate you looking in and commenting. :-D :-D

Thanks bob; can you believe the coloring on this little guy? Winter in Florida must really be kind to our feather friends. Thanks so much for your visit and kind comment. Much appreciated my friend.
