Hi guys,
what does everyone use to display your photos on the we so that your family can see them? I have family all over the world and they would like to see them but I'm not sure what to use to post them. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks

Welcome!

shutterfly.com has a share section, where you can create your own private area (password protected). It worked great for a little camera club I was in.

I have a gmail account, which gives you access to lots of storage and many features on Google+. You can upload photos to Google+ albums using Picasa in web friendly sizes and then share your album with the world or just with a link you can email to only those who want to see your images. Good luck.

Welcome to our forum!

I don't use it, but millions of people use Facebook to keep their families updated on what's going on. If you want to keep it private, or just send images privately, Dropbox or similar programs can do that.

I use pbase which is international. There is a annual fee that varies according to how much data used.

Welcome!

I like Flickr (there's a link in my signature line below). The basic account is free but you do have to put up with advertising. It is International, used by people all over the world. You can make your pictures completely public or completely private, or combinations thereof. You can "geotag" pictures manually or, if your camera has onboard GPS it will do so automatically. That way your family around the globe can see where a picture was made, down to the intersection on the map. You can put pictures into "albums" in the order you wish them, which is my display preference. You can write very detailed captions. If you make a set private to family only, all you have to do is send an "invitation" to your list of people and they, and only they can view the set. They first see the pictures as a handsome set of large "thumbnails," or by clicking on any one they can view it larger, then scroll through the set singly, in either direction, and read your captions. Hovering over any one picture causes the cursor to change to a little "plus" magnifying glass. Clicking allows the picture to be viewed larger instantly. Clicking again restores it to the original view. There's a learning curve to use it, but I like to display my stuff this way.

Welcome again! :)

I second the motion for Shutterfly. I have been using it for years! You can also make photo books from the albums you post, or they will do it for you!!

Welcome! br br I like Flickr (there's a link in ... (show quote)

I agree with everything stated here. However, I have the free account and have zero advertising issues......thankfully

I have tried a few others i.e. 500pix, Dropbox and some I can't even recall. I really like Flickr and have no reason to use anything else at this time.

Also, Welcome :D

Make a yahoo, hotmail, G-mail, etc. 'freebe' email site, give all your family members the log-in information, then you or any of your family can post to that account & everyone can access the posts.

Save the pix to micro SD, or 'regular' SD cards & mail the cards to your family.

Use your favorite PP program and make photo albums, with reduced resolution & file size, mass email them to your family.
