Doc (black and white) and Oliver (red), both champion quality longhair mini Dachshunds. I first became familiar with the Dachshund breed while stationed with the Army in Germany during the Occupation of Germany. My German War Bride and I have since had several smoothhair Dachshunds. When our smoothhair Dachshund, Wally, passed over the Rainbow Bridge, we were fortunate to find Doc and Oliver available for adoption on the Southern CA Dachshund Relieve Org website. I'd never reached the heigths of canine beauty, affection and loyalty until we adopted Doc and Oliver.
Sometime ago, they both passed over the Rainbow Bridge. Also, I dropped a tear in the ocean over their passing. Until I find that tear, I'll never stop grieving over their loss.

This is our Petey. We got him when he was 6; the original owner rescued him when he was 6 months old. We had him for 11-1/2 years and he passed in our arms. Not a mean bone in his body unless you were a chipmunk!!
I am very familiar with the recliner chair pose. What a sweetie. Sorry to hear that you no longer have him.
I can see the resemblance in the beards.

This is my little boy Spike. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge on February 18, at the age of 13 years and 9 months. We loved each other unconditionally. I know he had a good life but I thought my heart would break. I miss him so much.....
Sorry to hear about your loss. They take a big part of your heart when they leave.

Maddie is my rescue dog. She is a great pet and smart.
It took many weeks to get close to her and be able to hold and pet her. Now, after over a year, she is loving and begs for affection daily. Which of course I give her.

OMG what a difference you have made in that dog's life. Bless you for giving her a good home, and teaching her the joys of being loved.
