I'm an 81 yr old who is close to surviving the worst winter ever. The first snow flake that hit the ground last Nov is still with us. I started taking pics with an Ansco 120 roll film. I guess I was about 13.This camera later came out as aflash model and 616 roll film. Back in the day Kodak and Ansco used different number systems for the same size film. So years ago I had gone up in the world and was a 2x2 user. From that a used Contax 35mm RF. also have the first Minolta AF7000, plus, would you believe, 30 other cameras. Somewhere along the way I became a collector. I have Kodak, Yashica, Olympus, RF, high end P/S, SLR, and yes I have a few digital cameras. All that I own is vintage and in working order. I buy film on line and have it developed/printed here in town. Batteries are no problem because I try to avoid anything that requires a battery to work. For exposure the SUNNY 16 RULE still works.
I look forward to benefiting from your sage advice. Glad you're here. I moved from the Midwest to Texas in '92, this winter has proven my decision to be a good one.
One of my favorite cameras is the CanonT90. I use a 50mm Canon as my prime lens. This camera is no light weight. I do have a zoom lens which is a 35 to 70. It's plastic and it says CANON on it. I keep it on the T70, which is much lighter. I also have a 70 - 210 zoom which is sharp as a tack
