This is a great photo Bob. Whoever designed it for whatever crypt was an imaginative artist.

Thanks Corolyn. This is why I love cruising older cemeteries - that statuary is all above ground. Moss and lichen-covered to be sure, but there is still a lot of good sculpture out there to be seen.

Interesting sculpture and a nice treatment of it. As for accepting the weathering changes, I don't think they have a lot choice, but the patina of age on these often makes them even more beautiful.
