Think I've heard that triplets are a bit, if not a lot, of rarity in the eagle family. As often happens in the UHH World, Rarity is brought into REALITY enjoy!! But before you see the three, you get to look at some single shot. Have patience. Half the trip is anticipation.

The nest looks to be a long ways up in a well covered area. And you are shooting down. The pictures are great as could be the story of getting them.

Got that right! The nest is probably 100 plus yards away from me. Itself is in a dead tree surrounded by lots of healthy coniferous trees. Hardly ever saw all three at once Spent hours waiting for an eaglets first flite. They'd come to the edge of the nest and pose for a couple of hours before they drop into the nest and be out of site. Where is MapleValley?. I lived in BC as a landed immigrant Enjoyed it.

Maple Ridge BC is a community of about 75,000 about 30 km east of Vancouver on the north side of the Fraser River. It covers the area from the river north up into the mountains and forests.

Magnificent avians. So nice to see them multiplying in the wild. Thanks for the pictures and your patience in photographing these stunningly beautiful wild creatures.

So great you got to experience this!

We had triplets in the Yakima River canyon last year, and it was such a thrill to watch them all make it and fly. The parents looked very, very tired however :)

Re the image quality of these: I'm seeing a very strong green/yellow cast (over saturated?)

Wow Robin!!!! How cool to see these wonderful birds and then the kids!!! I have been trying to get a good shot of mine here. But so far they either fly the wrong way or through the trees.:) They had 2 babies last year.

INtesting. I lived in VCR from 72-75 an don't remember such a large town. Was it the result of Abbottsford and some other towns joining together as one? and that was 40 years ago and things do change
