I have doubts. I haven't seen anything on the iPad3 yet, but the -2 doesn't have any type of connector except the standard Apple connector for charging. It would be great if Apple did put a USB on the iPad3. So many things in life would be simpler.

You are too funny! They just finished announcing the product 15 minutes ago!

I'd suggest a call to Apple. It's an interesting question.

You need to tether your camera to your Ipad using Wi-fi. Here is a Youtube tutorial on how to do it.

There is a USB adaptor available that allows for photo upload on the Ipad presently. There is also an adaptor for SD cards but I'm not sure yet if it is compatable with the new WIFI-SD cards. If the 5D-mkII is compatible, then the WIFI in the Ipad and Ipad2 may be able be used for live view. I would check with Apple Customer Service to be sure before expending the capitol outlaw though. Pre-release info on the Ipad3 has just come out today. I looked at the release but couldn't see if the new version has that capabilty already built in. Again, best info can be obtained by calling Apple directly.

As I read this article, I see no mention of getting "live view" on the Ipad screen. This does allow for almost instantanious viewing of the photo, but there is no reference to the "live view" function being displayed. Further research may be required to facilitate this function or possibly an Application for this function can be purchased at the Apple App Store or through the use of an unlocked Ipad and an outside supplier without doing micro-surgery to the EyeFi card. The use of "Live View" is so much easier to accomplish with a Nikon that has this ability for the external display on an Ipad. And to aid those having eye sight problems when focusing, the HiRes display of your "Live View" will make it easier to reduce blur.

Thanks Ephraim. This is how I do "live view" on my Nikon D4 to my Iphone and Ipad but I'm not familiar yet with the Canon D5mkII functions. That's why I said to check on the actual functions ability. We have SDHX card slots whereas Canon needs an adaptor at the present time or the purchase of their $700 option to the camera.

Wow! You received your D4 already! Awesome! I just pre-ordered my D800E at B&H and I don't know when it will be delivered to me.

It's nice to have inside connections. Had my D4 for almost 3 months now. Picked up the camera body in Japan on my way to a shoot location in an ECO PARK. Your D800 has almost all the same features except for the weatherproofing. And you have more pixels in the D800. I think you'll be very happy with it.

Apple's Ipad connector kit is only for downloading your photos to the Ipad and not for "Live View". Sorry.
