I've been on vacation this week and had to get out of the house before my wife hit me with a cast iron skillet. So....what's the best thing to do to work off some pent up energy?
Take a hike up some snow covered hills.

I wanted to go to the clearcut just about dead center of the picture.

My hiking buddy Pantera is always ready for a hike in the snow. I think he's part Eskimo.

To get to the clearcut, you have to go up Robinson drainage. The floor of the drainage had a lot of snow, so I opted to climb up the southfacing hillside.

Halfway up the hillside, there was this dead tree that looked like a good photo op.

Reaching the ridgeline, I came upon another cool dead tree.
