After a day of rain and noting some rare clouds in the eastern sky, I thought I'd check out the city from my favorite location at sunset.

Hey Bob - Are you Joe Thompson's (originally from PA) son?
For those of us who do not recognize the skyline, what city?

My home town, San Diego, CA. As a former US Navy guy Bob, were you not there before?
I thought the title would tell the story. San Diego, shot from the hill community of La Playa on Point Loma.

Excellent shot. A vey nice city which I have visited in the past, and where my daughter went to university.
You caught the light just right .... neat shot!
Very good photo! Thanks for sharing it.

With the OP's permission and being a proud resident of San Diego, here are some other photos showing our downtown
and beyond. I did not take these photos, nor know who did,
but they show the city under three different conditions.
San Diego in the sunshine
San Diego with snow in the local mountains
San Diego with the mountains on fire
Re: The snow shot. I took the same shot a few years back and a nearly identical shot ran on the front page of the Union Tribune. It was a great day for shooting the skyline and this view could only be shot from one place. There were many photographers out shooting beside me that day, at the Point Loma National Cemetery. The fire shot is spectacular. Which fire was that?
