Can I use ipad as monitor for canon?

Apparently I can use an android tablet so of course I have an ipad. Anyone know of any software for ipad as a monitor ? I don't want to spend money on an android tablet.
Can you tell I'm tired of the crappy weather and I'm trying out other things. :-)

I use dslr dashboard for my android for both canon and nikon - it's available for ipad/iphone:

i have read about tether with the ipad,but i think you need a wifi camera like the 70d or other,

Actually, you would need to 'jailbreak' the ipad, which I am not going to do.

I thought any tablet can be used, when tethered with a USB cable, as long as you have the app downloaded onto the tablet. :confused:
