You might have seen this thing that's been going around the web for the past 24 hours. A woman posted a picture of a dress she saw at a wedding. Some people saw the dress as blue and black, while others saw it as white and gold. Maybe it depends on what image you saw online, but it certainly has generated controversy. All I saw was the blue and black.

In the article I read the daughter of the wearer said it was navy blue with black. I immediately thought how could the colors be changed in Photoshop. Like setting the black and white eyedroppers to other than 10:10:10 and 245:245:245 in Curves. PS also has a Replace Color tool, but I have never used it. Someone should try a Van Gogh trick on it.

It's all about changing the white balance Simple Got a lot of controversy but both were right in what they saw except they changed the white balance from the real black and blue to make it look white and gold

It sure has made it's way around social media! I even saw them talking about it on TV shows. Oh and Jerry, it's actually blue and gold :)

When your aircraft engine quits over western Washington state. That state has over 300 missing aircraft. Very dense forest and no place to land.

The originators/creators of the picture have said it is back and blue. Who knows what goes on out there in cyberspace: looking at the wrong angle, WB, people with color blindness, people not sober, etc. But the site has spoken, end of story IMHO.
