Telescope movement worm gear

My tracking tripod has been seeping what feels like tree sap and I needed to clean the tracking worm gears. This is the much cleaner worm gear that meshes with the ring gear. I should have shot this pre-cleaning but didn't think about it.

Canon EOS 5D II at ISO 200, Canon EF100mm f/2.8 Macro lens, 1/200-sec at f/14, ringflash illumination.

Thank you, I think I am starting to get the hang of this.
I can't thank the group as a whole enough and you in particular.

Ah yes, the grease. I reloaded the gears with Teflon Super Lube. Nice a smooth now.
This ring gear was full of what felt like tree sap instead of grease. I finally got this all worked out and re-lubed.
