Permanent Thread Suggestions

Since these threads come up constantly, perhaps they should be made PERMANENT threads on the main photography discussion so new ones would not have to be started. Here are my suggestions, perhaps you can add yours to the permanent thread suggestion list:

1: New to digital, what camera to choose.

2. Suggestions for a walk-around lens.

Must add:

3. Shooting first wedding; what settings should I use?

4. What is best organizing/editing software?

5. Which is better, Nikon or Canon? (Possible new forum)

UPDATE:

6. How do I become a professional?

Sigh.... :hunf:

I was a member of a forum that had a very nice feature...
you could choose to ignore obnoxious posters. Their posts just didn't show on your screen.
Of course the "Reply with Quote" somebody you didn't ignore would show it.
I grew a pretty sizable ignore list.
Eventually, I put that forum on my ignore list....
I can still go there. And still see the same dirty laundry.

Here, I just tend to skip over the ones I need to ignore.
Maybe you should try it. ;)

That also should be its own forum. Any topic with the word "help" should be automatically transferred there unless there are at least three other words except "me", "please" and/or "quick"!

Instead of adding to he number of sections, I suggest that we consider combining many and use the title that is often used for the original thread:" Help". This category could easily accommodate General Discussion, Analysis, Post Processing, Wedding and even Critique.

Sorry, Mogul, I added this prior to seeing your second entry in this thread.
You are the first one that I remember having this suggestion. I would be pleased to support you if you accept the position as moderator.

Do you know the difference between a professional photographer and a large pizza?

A large Pizza will keep you from starving,
A Professional Photographer is usually starving.

...or is that a little to close to the truth for some?
