We're snowed-in.
Wildlife coming in to eat!
Raccoons are NOT welcome here.
Yelling didn't disturb him/her much!
Great photos.
Normally a .22 behind the ear will discourage future visits and they can be quite tasty when baked.
Dennis
We'll have the .22 ready now.
Don't want coons, groundhogs, nor squirrels
in nor under our outbuildings!
Coon may not be welcome in my wife's kitchen either, ha!
She would probably bake it alright if twere all prepared;
but I can find better things to do with my time, ha!
Thanks, Dave.
I share your view of fishing!
Not ice-fishing though!
Both of my suet feeders disappared mysterously 1 nite , guess the coon needed some take out .

Our suet has been disappearing overnight too.
So I've been taking the feeder inside at night,
until the coon appeared during daylight.
Mystery solved!
So far biggest problem is possum's not coons.
Rather have them both instead of the coyotes in the field next to me.
Pete
And they say dumb animals. Looks pretty smart to me.

What ever it takes to get what they want, you have to admire their will power to survive. Great photo's just the same.

I put a 4-foot piece of stovepipe around my feeder pole. It keeps the squirrels off - but somehow the raccoons figured out how to climb past it and remove the suet feeder. At first I thought it was bears, but I put a game-cam out and saw that it was a family of raccoons. Didn't catch them actually in the act - they must have boosted each other up!
SquareRoot: You're right. Raccoons are not easily scared off. You almost have to get tough with them - even then they may just look at you. Good image series.
Glad you caught your culprit. He was quite an acrobat. My villan comes in the night time. Great series.
How cute!!! I guess I am the only one who welcomes raccoons to my house. Look at all the cute photos she provided you with.
