I'm looking at 42nd St Photo online and see they have a great price on the Nikon D810 (body only). Has anyone purchased from this company?

That's a place to stay away from, really bad reputation!
I bought a lot from them in the early '70s. They were surprisingly efficient and courteous. But I've read some postings that are more up to date. I think I would stay away from them.
Thanks everyone! I had a red flag up when I saw the price.

I am in NY and 42nd St Photo is well-known for being a ripoff. Contact Consumer Affairs to see how really bad they are.

Manufacturers control prices, so everyone sells for about the same price. If something is marketed at a low price, it's either an incomplete package or gray market. 42nd St doesn't have a good reputation.
If you want to save money, get a refurbished or used item.
B&H Photo is the place to go. They are knowledgeable, reliable and work with you very well if there is a problem. They also have reasonable prices.

From them I'd make sure it has USA warranty and everything in the box comes with it.

Nikon USA sets the price for all Nikon Warranted products. Beware of grey market cameras.

From experience with my Nikon d750 and this is for just general information a simple question that is not explained well in the manual I call Nikon USA and their first question is the number on the bottom of the camera, not a model number of the camera. Not one that is sold by them you are out of luck. Then there is the warranty problems.

I think I bought something once from them around 1979-1984. I think it went OK back then, but I too have heard bad things about them. There are several good online retailers. B&H comes to mind. For weird stuff try Free Style Photo. I've made multiple purchases from these two.

NO NO NO! STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!
As I recall from many movies 42nd street is where you rent bodies.
Ordered from 42nd street on line and the first thing was .. "Gee we are out of that one but for a few $$ more we can.... "
