Looks like he was protecting himself, up to a point. Overall, hard to say.

The robber tried to lift the gun and shoot a second time. Then he ran to the left. Assuming he didnt' drop the gun, I would have followed him and kept firing until he was no longer a threat. The pharmacist was trying to protect himself, his employees and innocent customers. Probably his only error was not having a large enough caliber to stop him with the first shot or two.

If he was shot in the back, it may mean trouble for the pharmacist.

Some places not justifiable to shoot someone who is trying to get away.

Hard to tell in this case as a lot of it happened off camera.

I own guns and wouldn't hesitate to use them to protect myself. but in this case this guy came out from behind his OWN people shooting. Apparently not caring where the bullets might fly. Discretion is the better part of valor. He's lucky some of his own people didn't take a bullet

Totally justified. We have too many laws that protect the criminals and not enough to protect the citizenry.

He saved the community money in that they didn't have to prosecute the perp. He also removed the possibility of this guy robbing anyone else.

Sure there should be an investigation by local law enforcement.

What scares me the most is that this is even an issue. A man comes into my place of business, pulls a gun on me and trys to rob me and I defend myself and my property, and now I need a lawyer? This is what happens when the left takes over and gives the perp more rights than the owner.

Yes, only one person testifying provides less confusion for the jury at the inquest.
