Children in a family are like flowers in a bouquet: there's always one determined to face in an opposite direction from the way the arranger desires. Marcelene Cox

I was like that as a child. I had a photo of the whole class that was made long ago, first grade I think...... everyone turned right just like the photographer said except for the one who still has trouble remembering left from right ... me. I don't mind being different most of the time, it makes life interesting!!!!

U were fortunate not to have a teacher trying to correct U to use the right hand... to write... instead of left...

I had a teacher that threatened to "tie" my left hand to my belt!
forcing me to use the "right" hand.

Needless to say, my parents removed me from that school for a few days.... until the story appeared in the local newspaper.

Thinking on the teachers part.... changed quickly.

My mom and I used to Road Trip to California every year to see my sister in San Francisco, from Northern Missouri. I, being too young to drive, was the navigator. My mom had a brain freeze on knowing right or left in directions....so for 2000+ miles I would have to look at the map and point in the direction to go...same thing on return trip....This was prior to a viable Interstate System.

Get your kicks on Route 66!!

I remember going to Kansas from Michigan on the old highway system several times with my parents, and on vacation to South Dakota. We sure saw a lot more then than we do now on the Interstates.
