Many of these people dislike being photographed, but don't mind you taking pictures of their artwork.
I loved how the composition made one of her symbols into the artist's heart.

I don't get it. I don't know who "these people" are, and I don't see the the connection between the symbol and the artist's heart. For a storyteller photo, it leaves me confused.

I do have to agree with jaymatt. The idea you are trying to portray is not very clear. Perhaps if you had caught a reflection of him in a window or something .. even part of his face. The outline of the shadow gets lost in all the busyness for one thing, and even then there is nothing distinctively Aboriginal about the shadow.
This is not at all bad. I think it means something to you which has not come across in the image.
We are all guilty of this at times. My last post here falls into the same category. I think the secret is in the title.
People will look for definite Aborigine symbols etc. Call it Untitled and people expect nothing and look more closely.
After comments ,not rude i might add, I received on my last post I will make some titles less descriptive so what is portrayed is viewed more openly.
This should have been presented as "Reflection" for instance.
