Very nice. I'm assuming that the light was provided. Did you have to use additional flash?

Yes, light was provided, but still dim conditions. I tried my built in flash on several shots, and then the same shots without flash. Almost every time the shot without flash looked much better. I set the ISO on auto with upper limit of 12,800. Several of the pictures reached that limit. The pics are not pp'd.

Not too bad on walking. About a half mile to the furthest point in the cavern system. Due to being part of a tour group, I felt hurried to take shots quickly and keep up. That is a common experience I have had, feeling like I don't have enough time to take proper shots due to holding up other people. I told my wife next trip we take it will be just us, and we will take all the time we need to capture the scenery we what to shoot.

I hope to do so. Wife and I have discussed taking a trip to the Grand Canyon, stopping by Carlsbad on the way.
