20% of the finalists of this year's Photo Journalism 'contest' were discarded because of too much editing.

Well photo journalism is about 'The NOW' not only after 30 hours of PP.

The tabloids may write stories about aliens BUT, would they use dodgy photo's......of course they do!

Perhaps the wording of 'Contest' is the clue....perhaps they stipulated none manipulated images and 50% ignored them, but only 30% of them could do a good job.
