Great mother to two hamburgers

My wife is a breeder/handleer of Australian Shepherds. Our Champion bitch has had two lovely litters and she is a great mother. She has recently experienced a false pregnancy and has decided that her two toy hamburgers and one toy hot dog are her new "litter". She licks them clean several times a day and arranges them in a nursing position also several times a day. If she is leaving a room for an extended period of time she makes a nest out of whatever is available for her "babies". The false prgnance is usually caused by a hormone imbalance and my wife is working with our vet to make sure we do everything we can for her. I feel sorry for her but it is kind of humorous. The picture is of Izzie nursing her "litter". I have also posted a picture of one of her two previous litters.

I was wondering if anyone else has had any similar experience.

That is the cutest thing I have ever seen, but sad too. Poor mama! Can she have another liter? (A real one this time).

She's a young dog so she'll be fine once she gets over this episode. I don't think any of these "pups" will be ready for the show ring.

Nice litter, the one on the left is going to be the spitting image of the mother.

My wife has had no problem in placing the pups she doesn't keep in both show homes and to responsible pet owners.
