Can someone please tell me the difference between the Nikon D60 and D70? Just curious as to whether or not someone would benefit by buying my D70 if they already have a D60. Thanks in advance for your comments.
Both old old in degitel days. The D70 has a focus motor drive so you can use auto focus lenses that do not have a motor drive. - Dave
The D70 is a great camera. We have a D70 and a D100 (about the same camera in a pro body) to loan to people who ask to barrow a camera for what ever reason. I personally didn't like the D60 because it didn't seem as tough a design. The D70 is like a Timex watch, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Thanks to everyone for responding. It looks as if there might be some difference but not enough for someone who has a D60 to purchase a D70 although the D70 is considered a "professional" camera as opposed to the D60 which is considered a "hobbiest" camera. Correct?
Not quite Tnwaltz, By todays standards they are both hobbiest cameras. But for someone just starting off they are both fine starters. Many a wedding has been shot with the D70. As long as you don't print over an 8x10 or don't crop much, it will do a nice job. I still use a d100 if I have to document a site in a really bad part of town or go fishing in a leaky boat.
The D70 was the mid level DSLR in Nikon's line-up. The advantages of the D70 over the D60 is that the D70 has a built-in focus motor and the D60 doesn't (so it can use lenses that the D60 can't use), the D70 has more dedicated operation buttons, and the D70 has a more rugged build.
The advantage of the D60 is a newer and better sensor and processor.

Another advantage of d70 - it has higher flash sync speed,1/500 vs 1/200 in d60.
Sensor d60 has 10 mpx, d70-6 mpx. Screen d60-2.5in, d70-1.8in. I thing I don't miss from d70 is screen, hard to see.
D60 - announced 2008, d70-2004. D70 is bigger and heavier too.
