Mekong River Floodwater season in Vietnam

About 2 hours drive to Kien Tuong - Moc Hoa from SG. Two small towns that are close to Cambodia border. Each year around September, a raining season here, so all the rice fields are flooded with water. Locals call it "nuoc lu" season.

Nice shots. It is fascinating to see the man standing in waist-deep water, something that would be impossible in a flood where I grew up in eastern PA. Thanks for the shots.

In the Mekong delta the land is very really flat; so in a normal season these are rice fields. I will show some other pictures in the areas close by later.

Would love to see the photos. In August 2011 I spent a few days in and around My Tho including some time in boats on the canals a bit south (I think) of the city. The rest of the time was in Saigon. Took several thousand photos in ten days.

Moc Hoa was one of the most dangerous area where you were at during that time!

I was sent to install a radio van for the Special Forces team out near the airport. Their radio van was destroyed in an attack.
