Thank you for those kind words Sylvias. 3 bracketed exposures make it easy to bring out the rays.

I moved in Sept 14 but this view was about 6 klms from my home at the time and a sunset like this was not unusual at all. Believe it or not you get to take them for granted after a time. 200 nights of the year I could have photographed very similar and probably did it 10 times in 3 years.

Thank you for dropping by and commenting. Its very much appreciated

One image looks just OK in my opinion. I think bracketing really brings out the full tonal range between the dark areas like the sea and the bright clouds and sun. Camera does bracketing automatically and Photoshop merges three images in seconds so its no more difficult to do than one image. You end up after merging with a 32 bit Tiff which contains all the available information in the scene More even than a single Raw file from one shot.

Stunning composition and colors. Gives a terrific sense of the hot, tropical location.

As I scrolled down and the top 1.5" disappeared, I liked it even better :)

I have done a few of these in differently places and the blue sky at the top of the clouds always divides opinions. Im still not sure so cropped a chunk off the top already that had some white wispy cloud in it.

Thank you for calling by Linda and taking the trouble to view and comment. Your input is always welcome.
