I am in process of putting together a photo book of one of many cycle trips around the us.
I use PSPv6. I have read one should sharpen a photo before sending to print.
While I have a sharpen macro that I apply to photo, it was not really specifically developed for printing.
Looking for advice on how and how much to sharpen before I send the photo's up to the site for using in a photo book. Would really like specific settings and methods if you care to share. Even if in Photoshop I can translate this to PSP.
Thanks in advance
Willie
Local sharpening instead of global sharpening. sharpen only areas within the image that need it, and only to the amount that each area needs. Essentially, you are performing variable sharpening. Global sharpening is for people who are in a hurry or simply don't know how to use the editor's brush tool.
