According to a lot of people, I thought the shutter count wouldn't be too high. But just checked it and it's 4094. While it's not that bad, I might have optioned for brand new if I thought I'd get one with 4000 already on it. Crap shoot I guess. What is the suggested shutter replacement? 100,000?

I think the 610 is 150,000 shutter actuations.

That's good to know. 4,000 don't seem too bad then.

Enjoy your purchase. Just 4K clicks is really nothing considering the probable shutter life of the 610.

If the price is right nothing wrong buying a camera like the D610 refurbished from a reputable dealer with 4094 shutter actuations. That camera has still a long way to go.

Don't worry about it. It's just starting life.

I bought a refurbished D610 from Cameta. It had 74 actuations and I have had zero problems so far and love it.

Just don't "spray and pray". A friend of mine has a (purchased new) D610 and likes it. The D810 was over budget for her.

While I don't have one, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one with 20K clicks. There are people on this forum that have well in excess of 100K on their cameras.

The D610 is rated by Nikon for at least 150,000 actuations. That is the minimum you can expect from it. Your results may vary but most people will get more than that. I wouldn't worry about 4,000 clicks.....your camera is still a baby.

Only 2.7% used, you still have 97.3% left and that's if it actually dies at 150,000. Take great care of it, service it to keep it clean and it may go well beyond. Best of luck..
