I just ordered mine for my T3i. Sony not available yet i don't think. I was so excited that i misspelled the subject line lol.

I see that their warranty doesn't compare with the tamron 6 year warenty....Rich

Yes i noticed that too. It's probably because they feel they don't have to offer a long warranty in order to sell their product.

This might be true or they don't want to stand behind their product because it is of less quality. It is a new lens and they might not be sure that it will hold up. It just makes me wonder and causes me to be a little cautious...Rich

The Tamron doesn't play nice on some Canon bodies. Maybe the Sigma is the better choice here. Warranties are only good if they can get the product to work.

Nikon bodies don't seem to be affected the same way with the Tamron 150-600, I have a friend that uses one and gets great results.

I'm waiting to see if the IQ is as good as the Sport version. I talked.to a Sigma rep. And he simply said we'll just have to see once it comes out. I really hope the IQ is on part with Sport. I would love to save on the weight and of course $900 :wink:
