I know the Pocket Wizards are for wirelessly triggering remote flashes, buy I have also read/heard they will also fire a camera remotely. Is this true?
If so do you need two models or will one pair work for both camera and flash?
Appreciate all advice.

Before I started using the 600 RT's, I was using (and still am) PW's TT5's with my 580's, all I needed was using a pair of the TT5's to also fire the camera, now I can do all that with the 600's and the ST E 3-RT, they also allow me to fire the camera as well.

Check out the Phottix system. RF signal, TTL and remote shutter release.

Thanks, I currently use the infrared on the camera and the ML-L3 trigger to fire the camera, and my popup flash to fire my SB 700. Works most of the time if you can arrange everything in 'line of sight'. I see with the Plus ll you can trigger the camera and flash at the same time. GREAT!
Thanks again.
